Dr. Singh is a highly skilled and respected ophthalmological surgeon with approximately two decades of practicing experience.

He is a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery (ASCRS). Dr. Singh has been chosen by his colleagues as one of Houston’s Top Ophthalmologists for 2008 and one of America’s Top Ophthalmologists in 2011 and 2012.

He has authored several journal articles and is a member of the International Who’s Who. Dr. Singh is a highly sought-after speaker and makes numerous presentations on a yearly basis.

As a leading specialist held in high esteem by his patients and peers alike, Dr. Singh is among the most experienced ophthalmologists in Houston regarding the performance of corneal transplants and pterygium surgery as well as treating dry eye and ocular surface disorders. Additionally, Dr. Singh performs the latest techniques in cataract surgery, including toric (astigmatism) and multifocal implants.

Dr. Singh is one of only a few ophthalmologists in the Houston area specializing in Corneal Disease, which has recently undergone a revolution in new techniques and procedures. Dr. Singh performs the latest corneal transplantation techniques with the goal of more rapid visual rehabilitation and a greater long-term success rate.

These techniques include Endothelial Keratoplasty (DSAEK & DMEK), Anterior Lamellar Keratoplasty (DALK) and Artificial Cornea (Boston Keratoprosthesis) as well as traditional full thickness Penetrating Keratoplasty (PK). Dr. Singh is also one of the rare corneal specialists performing DALK and was the first surgeon in the Houston area to perform maximal depth DALK (also known as the Big Bubble technique).

Dr. Singh believes that communication is the foundation to a strong and healthy doctor-patient relationship, and is generous in sharing his time with patients to explain their condition or disease, answer their questions, and address their concerns.

“I value the trust and confidence that patients place in me for treating their eye diseases, and strive to make every patient’s experience pleasant and informative.”
